I have been searching for a way to get back deleted photos from my iphone. I imported them onto the laptop but have since deleted them from the recycle bin. I have downloaded various applications to try recover them but am told they have been overwritten on my phone.
Can any genius please suggest a way I can find these on either my phone or laptop?

Ofcourse you checked your iCloud ? have you synced with OneDrive or Google Photos or DropBox before. If no, then hard to retrieve them.
Phone has never been connected to iCloud. It is only an iphone 4s and was a few months ago I used itunes to save photos from camera roll onto laptop before deleting them.
Have you ever used itunes to back up your phone?
Never backed up my phone to itunes before but used it to save photos onto pictures file in laptop before deleting them.
There are many free apps on the web do to file recovery from a laptop
Can you please suggest one? All I have tried require you to buy them.

It has been ages since I needed to do this but best advice is stop using the laptop as the more you use it the more chance files you want restored will be overwritten.
Try the above and really pay attention to those that are portable and can be run off a USB drive.

As for the phone I have used itools from memory, but for other things, not undeletes.
Not deliberately trying to be a downer, but the chance of getting anything back is pretty low. There is no magical fix unfortunately.
But if you have the time, then then it is worth giving the above a bash.
As dlf73 said, try to minimise the use on the laptop until you try the recovery programs.
Having lost 2 weeks of photos from a holiday in Cuba though my own stupidity, I feel your pain :P
Also I believe some of the photos were uploaded to Instagram before the account was deleted. Does anyone know if I can gain access to them or my deleted account?
