I know they transfer in bulk every x days. But once my Amex account says they are transferred out, should they be visible in my Velocity account immediately? Or does it take a couple of days?
How long does it take for Velocity points to come over from Amex?

I have just spoken to Amex and confirmed the same. (I was only concerned because there was some confusion around the linked Velocity account after I signed up.)
BTW, there was no screen to read, this was an auto-transfer. And logging into Amex online gives you zero information beyond the points total.

I made a couple of transfers earlier this week for my and my wife's AMEX accounts - both hit velocity a day later, which was earlier than I expected, and the guidance from AMEX
The only instant transfer I know about us KrisFlyer to Velocity, due to their partnership. But that transfer comes at a hefty 1.35:1 transfer rate (in both directions)
If you read the screen when you transferred the points, it takes two to three business days.
