  Good prices on the Glenfarclas, I bought the 12 & 21 yo last time they had a special. I just bought the Laphroaig 10 and the Oban 14 from these guys and got them at much better prices than my local Dan's or 1stchoice.

    That depends on what you are looking at though. The Patron XO Cafe is a much better price through Good Drop than it is from Dan's even with delivery thrown in (to Melbourne Metro at least).

  I've bought glenfiddich 15 and farclas 105 fromn you before for the same price. While it's cheaper than retail if you bulk buy to offset shipping just seems like your normal prices

  @pingponged - we benchmark our prices against major competitors to show you how much cheaper we are on our regular listings but we also also do mark down our items. For example our regular list price for the Glenfarclas 21YO is $171.99 but we are on promo this week for $146.99 against a Dan Murphy price of $196.99. The Glenfiddich 18YO regular list price is $127.99 and we have this on special for $116.99 against a Dan Murphy price of $146.99 so there are considerable savings to take advantage of even with our shipping charge included. Hope you can find something suitable to enjoy.

  I just called Uncle Dan's 1300 number and they were happy to price match the Patron XO so another saving of $9 on delivery.

  I paid for it over the phone and used click and collect but the team member said if i just took evidence of the price from Good Drop they would price match in store as it is a line they carry.

    That's odd, they flat-out refused me in-store, based on "no store front". If they had looked closer, the bottles are actually different sizes, GD 750ml, DM only 700 (they have a non-stocked link for the 750 size), but they have only recently brought the 700 ml in. I've been watching the GD bottle for a while, and the price has not changed (not "special" but definitely cheaper than elsewhere, perhaps old stock/bottle size?).
    Good on you for getting the price match, but I am surprised - even Officeworks will add on the cost of shipping when matching an online seller.
    Time to call Dan and try again - maybe I'll need your receipt! ;)

    EDIT: - 1300 almost got the match (and BEAT by $1!) until the rep noticed the different bottle sizes - even checked with manager, but no-go. Guess your rep just wasn't paying attention, or you give better phone ;(

  OP, Have you had any luck sourcing any of the recent 'Worlds best Scotch' winners yet?

  Specially the Yamazaki or Sullivan's Cove? Otherwise I'm also interested in a Mcallan 25YO.
