Need a Holiday Departing ADL around October 10th.Anyone Suggest a Bargain

As per title, looking for around a 3 -7 day getaway to anywhere that is potentially decent value at the moment. Yeah it's last minute, but hoping someone has seen something on Scoopon or skyscanner etc that is a good deal. Recent Maldives deal looked interesting.

Preference is for somewhere warm (previously done Cairns/ Pt Douglas/ Bali / South Pacific Cruise), but anything will do!

Cruise around Hawaii would be good, but I haven't seen any decent flights to HNL from ADL for a while.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Fly to Whitsundays or Sunshine Coast. October is a great time to visit Queensland.

If you choose Whitsundays make sure you get on a boat. I recommend a sailing trip from Airlie Beach like the ones on this site: https://sailing-whitsundays.com You can fly with Jetstar (via MEL/BNE) or Tiger (via SYD) to Proserpine Aiport and there's buses to Airlie Beach. You can also fly to Hamilton Island.

Jetstar is now flying direct from ADL to Sunshine Coast. Or otherwise you can just fly to Brisbane airport and drive up. Hire a car and stay at Noosa or Mooloolaba or even Caloundra. Awesome beaches and the hinterland is worth exploring too. I may be biased but I have traveled to some nice parts of the world and coming home to the Sunshine Coast makes me realise how good we have it here. Return flights to BNE on Tigerair for 14 to 19 October are $190.

    • I think you are on to a winner here. Any tips for accom in Moloo/ noosa/ Hamilton island?

      • Well with a Whitsundays sailing trip you stay on the boat itself. The water is pretty flat around the islands, and they will anchor overnight where it's calm.

Depends what you're looking for with accommodation.

Staying on any of the islands may be a little pricey and I don't think there's too many options. But I'm sure anything on Hamilton Island is nice.

Mooloolaba is probably cheaper than Noosa and will have more options. I think just shop around and find something near the beach. In Mooloolaba, Caloundra, Coolum, Alex or Maroochydore you can get a beach view apartment. Whereas Noosa doesn't have so much high rise development and an ocean view there may cost and arm and a leg.

I really like Adioso's search function for these situations. I searched leaving Adelaide between Oct 9 and Oct 11 and returning about 5 days later.
