Have a teenager on a budget needing a new prepaid phone. What do u reccommend?

Try the Oppo F1 prepaid from Optus. You will then have something that has local warranty and reasonable spec (SD 616/3GB RAM/720p screen/8+13MP cameras).
They should be $199 from Kmart (if you can find them, as they were EOL a month or two ago).
Optus customer service usually will unlock them online for free. There is also a Android 6.0 ROM in beta at the moment.
China phones like Xiaomi are usually the best bang for your buck when it comes to shoestring budgets under $200. They are fast, have great specifications for the price
but if you are after a branded device like Samsung / HTC / Sony, under $200 these will be fairly low-spec devices with some compromises in speed, storage, usability (e.g screen resolution and viewing angles). These don't appear very often on Ozbargain as they're mostly not great value (subjectively speaking for the tech savvy Ozbargain crowd who are not particularly loyal to a certain brand).
