just up at my local dan murphy.

a fair bit of loose beers at the back where the spirits are.

I picked up
6xLittle Creatures Pale Ale 568ml $2.45 each
7xLittle Creatures Bright Ale 568ml $2.45 each
4x Sierra Nevada Torpedo 7.2% 478ml $3.15 each
1 slab Duke Hellas Beer $21.60

all of them had use by dates of december 2016/jan 2017.

what was left were (approx numbers):
9x Endevour Bright Ale 6 packs $10.25
8x Sierra Nevada Torpedo 7.2% 478ml $3.15 each
12xLittle Creatures Rogers beer $2.25 each
15xCricketers Arms Cricketers IPA $2.30
there was also 6 dozen various monteiths, Endevour ale, Feral, Bridges Rd Brewery and more

all before their best before date by various lengths.

plus 10% off any purchase off 6 or more single beers

not every ones cup of beer but nice if you want to sample some different beers

      well, look how much I bought already. plus there's all the home brew that's piled up in various cupboards around the house, and the boxes of wine in the front hall and out in my study.

      I haven't tried this particular Sierra Nevada. I had the pale ale in Hawaii and that was nice. see how I go tonight and might head back and grab the rest in the morning.

        I had the torpedo in Hawaii a few weeks ago. It's a mouthful but decent. Heaps of flavour. It's not sessionable but neither is the pale ale imho. I liked it better than the pale ale. It's a one per session kinda deal I think. You don't wanna get too many cans deep.

        @jv: I put on the 87 grand final and tried the punk IPA. Decent. Will do a sampling day on the weekend to fully appreciate each beer.

  Interesting. Torpedo is one of my favorites and stays fresher in the can, so even if they are near use by should still be good… Will try my luck tomorrow
