PC Byte Customer Service - Comments or Feedback?

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has had any positive or negative experience with PC Byte via their eBay store or web based store? I purchased a couple of items on Monday via eBay and paid extra for the express shipping option and have not yet received anything. The item has not been marked as posted. I tried to contact them, but they haven't replied. I realise companies can be busy etc. so I am just trying to figure out what kind of service they typically provide?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • I bought something of them on Tuesday.
    No express postage or anything.
    Checked the tracking on ebay, it is in Sydney now, so expect it to come in tomorrow.

    Also ordered something at the same time from Futu online and it came in today. So in future will purchasing from them.
    Much faster, maybe they are already based in Sydney.

  • They've been excellent and yeah, because they are based in Sydney, it's always easy if you have an issue with anything you bought. Oh and Francesca, their rep in OzB, is very helpful too.

    They're terrible as in they take you're money and don't deliver the item while either ignoring you most of the time or lying to buy more time before you make an ebay or paypal complaint.

    Waited 6 weeks for items, period involved multiple dealings with ebay/paypal and pc.crap which is time I'd rather spend doing something else. In the end 1 item was delivered and I was refunded but seeing as the thieving piece of shit messaged me immediately after ordering/paying for one of those items about how they weren't going to deliver (just wait a week and other lies that I'm sure are familiar to peeps reading this) I realise they had zero intention of delivering by eBay ETA and it was intentional.

    Don't waste your time.

  • I recently did a build for a mate. Unfortunately futu didn't have the PSU. Knowing that pcbyte has screwed people in the past on stuff like new tech gfx cards but, I thought it is just a PSU, it will be fine. WRONG. Had to wait an extra 5-6 days after it was said to be due to arrive.

    I'll be giving them a miss in future too. I'm in the middle of trying to resolve an issue so I won't go into detail just yet, but their service is pretty ordinary. I get the impression they're one of those places that are fine if they have your item in stock, interpret your order correctly and send you the right thing, but the moment something goes wrong, they'll do whatever they can to avoid being out of pocket.

    So ordering from them is a gamble. You're hoping that everything goes smoothly, otherwise you're in for a battle.

    • I seem to be in that same category. Multiple phone calls today, apparently my order was lost, then I was told the item isn't in stock, promised a return phone call and nothing. Guess I need to call them again tomorrow.

  • Had a warranty issue. Took 3 mths to resolve after various calls and emails ignored. Buyer beware.

  • Paid for an item over a week ago on eBay and it still hasn't been sent yet as they don't have stock…. and dont know when the shipment will arrive.
