[FREE] (Origin - PC) Dungeon Keeper Standard Edition from on The House

1360

A good old game released in 1997, and has a mobile port that doesn't justify its legacy

  • One of the last computer games I ever played seriously, am I that old now? 3rd person games give me motion sickness but not when using 3dfx cards, no one could ever explain that to me. Remember those add-on cards?

I would guess that the experience wasn't good enough to trick your brain without the 3dfx but with it it was close enough that you didn't feel sick (this was my guess as I was the same and have noticed that with newer games coming out I steadily felt less ill)

Just keep your eyes focused mainly in the middle of the screen. The motion sickness happens when your eyes are zipping all over the place while you're moving at the same time. Happens with me too.

  • I loved this game when I was younger, shame it aged really poorly.

However free, can't complain with that.

  • A classic. Shame there was no dungeon keeper 3.

  • One of my favourite games of all time - worth using Origin to play this beauty

  • "The enemy has broken through your walls!"

Your dungeon is filled with yogurt!

Only briefly played Dungeon Keeper, however I completed Dungeon Keeper 2 and then some; I loved the franchise and I've always been hanging out for DK3. Thanks OP!

However it should be noted, if anyone is looking for some good reminiscing with a modern remake, I highly recommend "War for the Overworld" on Steam.

  • Got the gold edition of this game from GOG.com gold version when it was free once. Great game. Highly recommended.

Gold edition adds expansion pack including 15 new levels, improved artificial intelligence, level editor and Direct3D for improved graphics and 3D acceleration.

    • I installed both the GOG.com version and the Origin version and I can confirm that the Origin version does not include the Deeper Dungeons expansion pack.

Ironically you have to sell your soul to EA to get this game for free now…

  • +1

Wow, EA have finally changed their site so when you click on 'add to library' it actually notifies you that it's been added instead if referring you to download Origin without any explanation.

  • This game is a classic and one of my all time favourites.
