HELP: Bathurst Lovers Foxtel Go on Android Tablet

Hi All,

I have a Lenovo Yoga 3 10" Tablet and I have just installed Foxtel Go for a 2 week trial to watch Bathurst while in the car.

When running it, it comes up with an error message:
"Video playback is not available on this device. Please turn off AllShare to continue".

I have searched on the device for anything remotely called this, searched google for fixes, and everything else I can think of to resolve.
I have removed all Video and Audio programs I have installed since purchase, and still no go!

Foxtel Go forums mentioned it's a Samsung/Lenovo issue, not Foxtel.

If anyone has any ideas that may help me fix this, some debt will be owed…..
EDIT: Getting desperate, if anyone has any ideas, I am an elephant………..

  • You might have already seen this, but according to Foxtel "Allshare" is a casting feature of Samsung/Lenovo tablets

You will need to disable this in order for Foxtel Go to work.

Try this: go into the "Settings" app of your tablet —> "Apps" —> "All" and then search for Allshare.
Hopefully there will be an option to disable it from running in the background.

    • Hey jelko,

Yeah seen that forum thread. Thought I would do some homework before asking for help.
And yes, been into Settings but nothing contains the word All, either at start of app name, middle or end.

It seems to be a hidden 'feature'………
Found a similar issue for people in UK with Sky Go, but it appears an update of the app fixed the issue, which makes me thinks Foxtel Go is issue, and is doing something sneaky behind the scenes…..

      Thanks for help.
      :)

  • You want Foxtel Play, not Foxtel Go. Foxtel Go is for people who already have Foxtel to stream. It's stupid, they have two identical apps for two different purposes, and their use is not interchangeable.

    • When searching Foxtel play in app store it only brings up go! I thought play became go a while back?

    • Foxtel Play and Foxtel Go are two different options.

"Foxtel Go" comes free with your satellite/cable subscription. You can download Foxtel Go from the iOS or Android app stores as well via downloading an .exe for Windows operating systems. You use your Foxtel login/password to view Foxtel.

"Foxtel Play" are for people who don't necessarily have a Foxtel satellite/cable connection. Anybody can subscribe to Foxtel Play but it's only available via apps on the XBox and PS3 as well as Windows PC.

Foxtel Play is not available in the Android/iOS app stores.

I would recommend install Foxtel Play on a laptop and watch the race through that.

      • Thanks man, just what I thought re play and go.
Laptop has a dud battery so that's a no go for me, but thanks for the idea!
