  • I remember in your previous post that you wont prefer grey stock/overseas stock, however I believe there will be some really good Nexus 5X deals coming up soon? If not, go for the G4 Plus 32Gb variant :)

Also Moto G3 most likely won't be getting Android 7.0 if it is something to consider? Good luck :)

    • Thanks for the help

    • Any reason why you're expecting good 5X deals soon?

I'm in the market for one at the moment, not sure if I should hold off a few weeks or not. Considering getting grey import from Kogan.

  • All these budget phones would be very reasonable options, it just seems like they each lack one thing (like NFC or FHD screen). But they do seem to have pretty good cameras and specs for the price. Phone pricing has gotten ridiculous, to think people routinely spend $800+ for a phone every year or two is just crazy. I used to be all about having the latest tech, but not any more with prices the way they are and yearly upgrades pretty insignificant. These cheaper phones like Oppo F1S, Xiami Redmi, Moto G4+ all good options for those that want to save some money.

    • yep redmi 3s is FANTASTIC, but obviously no australian stock

Yeah. Maybe for the durability but you must know this is 2016.

  • Is anyone else considering the 16GB/2GB RAM variant, which comes down to $300 at TGG with 20% off the eBay store? It's difficult to find any of the 32GB/3GB RAM in Aus, I'm assuming they would need to be "grey imported".

Does anyone know of any grey import stores for the 32GB/3GB RAM variant that come to within a reasonable range of $300?

You can find it on the Moto Online Store for 450 but I have an insider who can get it for super cheap.

  • Is there noticeably better performance going from 2GB to 3GB of RAM? I'm trying to assess whether to spend $300 on the 16/2GB RAM variant or $400 on the $32/3GB variant.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

IMO i think the extra gb is worth it.

  • Got the Asus zenfone 3 (base model 3GB/32GB) for $315, and it's probably the best device I've ever got for the price. It's fast and camera is good, also dual SIM 4G+3G and 700mhz/b28 as well. Battery life is very good too with screen on time 6-8 hrs depending on usage.

    • Where did you buy from?

From eBay while there was a 10% sitewide sale. I believe at the moment you can get one from eglobal with 5% discount (?)

  • How about the Oppo F1s? $338 plus $100 eBay voucher
