which coffee machine should I get?

Hi guys, . Im looking to buy a coffee machine. Thinking between these 2:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Sunbeam-Cafe-Series-Espresso-…

if i go with the sunbeam, i would need to buy a grinder? .
Any Opinions would be appreciated.Thanks

  • The Breville.

I don't know anyone who does not enjoy the barisa express except the snobs who own the Oracle and other professional machines.
Just keep it well maintained and clean. :)

  • Aeropress.

  • we have the sunbeam, not the breville, so can only comment on the one we have

    it's great !

has a twin thermoblock - no idea about whether the breville is single or twin

also have a conical burr grinder….which is also great

takes a while to get the right grind / press / bean combo, but when you do - YUM !!!!

  • we had the Sunbeam for a few years and it makes great coffee but we upgraded a little while ago to an entry level Lelit p41 which has all the finish of a commercial machine in a home size machine. coffee was instantly twice as good
got it from jet black espresso in Sydney for about a hundred dollars more than the Sunbeam. team it with a Sunbeam 480 grinder with two shims to make the finer grind and we just dont but shop coffee any more

  • Breville

  • I got the big brother to that Breville and I tell ya what 10/10 we used to spend loads of money on cappuccinos but now we don't. A cappuccino is like $4-$7 here we now buy coffee beans from a online retailer (super fresh) we can get about 35 coffees per bag (450g) so getting coffees from the shops it would have cost us $175, but the bag is only $15. 10/10

  • Here the Breville is less expensive 648.00 Might be able to get a price match at HN???

can't speak for it I know I love fresh ground beans!

    note:
Just seen this on eBay 20% off with code CGOOD20. Ends 17th Oct. T&Cs apply makes it what, about 140.00 less? Good deal!!

  • We have a Sunbeam Caffe Belissimo {https://www.sunbeam.com.au/Coffee-and-Beverages/Espresso-Machines/EM9300-Sunbeam-Caffe-Bellissimo.aspx}, we have had it for about 2-3 years and it makes a good cuppa but we have had issues with the internal mechanism of the machine that so we have to adjust a part manually from time to time. This makes an easy cappuccino, Late' or espresso, just push a button and it grinds it for you and everything even adds the milk too.

  • I had the Sunbeam for a while and sold it to upgrade to a Breville Dual Boiler and separate grinder.
The Sunbeam worked well and, like Breville, they offer good local support, but that thermoblock is the noisiest piece of machinery I've ever had in my kitchen. Your early morning coffee will wake up everyone in the house and possibly next door too!
