  • Why would anyone use this over a KB/M or a PS4/XB1 controller?

    • For KB/M emulation in your hands? I'd like to try one. See if it can replace them.

    • Really nice customisation options including presets from publishers and the community that you can easily choose from within Steam.

Good way of turning my steam link on and off as well. I leave my XB controller connected to my PC, then use the steam controller to turn it on and depending on the game, either flick over to the XB controller or stick with the steam controller.

Supposedly they are really good for FPS once you're used to using them.

    • I kind of have to agree, I'd rather use my Xbox controller for games that can use it, or KB/m if I have to. I liked the idea of a steam controller when it came out forever ago, I've lost that spark now though, I have trouble believing that games with no controller support will be able to work well enough. And games that do have it I'll just use my normal controller which works perfectly.

I just have trouble seeing how that touchpad thing will be able to overtake a thumbpad.

  • Savage with the NZ remark. hahaha

So I'm assuming Tasmania won't be eligible either?

  • Why not just buy from Amazon today? I got mine a few months ago 2 for US$82 delivered to Australia.

Works great with PC, unfortunately not so with Mac.
