  What do people who have bought from Angus and Robertson recently think of their service?
  I gave up buying from them a couple years ago as they have a complete book catalogue in their online ordering system even if they don't have it in stock and don't intend to get it for you. After a period of time I would contact them and they would reply that the book was not available and I then had to purchase it elsewhere.

    Would say good. Always packaged well and delivered in time they advised. I'm buying a couple of books you can't get in book depository from them. yay!

      Please let me know if you get them. I remember they had good prices but it was the "sorry, we can't supply" that made me leave. If they have changed I may give them another go.

  Do not buy from Angus and Robertson online.
  After I received a confirmation note for two different orders and my card charged i waited for a month before calling to see what had happened.
  Apparently there was a technical problem with my order and it was not confirmed and i was not charged… Incorrect x 2.
  I was told the after reconfirming these orders via email (did immediately) that i would receive the books very soon.
  A week later i received an email that both orders have been cancelled (no reason given) and a refund would be given for only one of the accounts (!?) It is now a week later and no refund at all has gone through.
  I have emailed back twice and have still yet to receive a response. Doubting i'll get my money back from a store like this.

  I also tried calling on three occasions (during BH) and received their after hours answering machine message. Extremely unprofessional service.

  As the posts above mention i'm going to try bookdepository, prices beat A&R/Borders even with the 20% off.

    Sounds like they are still using a book catalogue and not their stock catalogue.
    I can do without waiting weeks to then be told that they haven't got it in stock.
    I did always received my money back but by the time I ordered the books elsewhere it was well over a month before I received them. Not acceptable. Most of my purchases are now through http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/ They are usually the cheapest and with fairly quick free shipping worldwide. I do always start with a search of http://www.booko.com.au/ which list the suppliers and prices in cheapest to dearest including delivery. An invaluable resource.
