Best Non Stick Pan?

So I got a bacarrat non stick pan last year for my birthday, I didn't know anything about them at the time so didn't take good care of it.

It's basically not a non stick anymore which sucks because it takes the fun out of cooking.

Anyone recommend a great non stick pan? There is too much to read and compare so I would rather go with a recommendation

  • There are plenty good ones out there, is there a specific price range you are after? :) Would help with suggestions

    Properly seasoned cast iron.

      Or carbon steel

  • The one i got last time was Baccarat iD3 Hard Anodised Frypan, I mainly cook chicken, steak and eggs.

I don't really want to spend over $150? I will have it for life as I will take very good care for it now

The best non stick pan is a cheap one ($20ish) that is replaced every 3-6 months.

    • I tend to agree with this philosophy … the problem is you get lazy about replacing it and then it starts to peel, etc.

There's several brands that have a 'lifetime warranty' and are pretty good about replacing the pans - but it can take a few weeks, so you have to live without or have a backup.

  • I am pretty happy with StoneDine

  • Woll and Scanpan are both highly rated.

  • I have heard teefal are good. I had a circulon one that lasted many years. Killed it by putting it in oven. I have been told no non stick pan is good in an oven.

We have quite a bit of Tefal and we think they're great. We used to have Scanpan too, and generic Coles in the past and in my opinion none of them compare to the Tefal stuff [FYI I like cooking and do not like doing the dishes].

I swear by Analon Endurance. I have never had a scanpan/tefal etc last more than 6 months but the Analon is in perfect shape still. I think because it's designed to go in the oven and the cook top it can withstand much higher temps while staying non stick.

    • seconded. The only non stick I will buy is anolon endurance (make sure it is endurance and not some other model). Using it for over 3 years. I hand wash it after every use, rack dry it. Beautiful pots and pans.

  • Circulon has great pans.

  • Don't waste your money.

Get the $20 ones from IKEA, they are just as good as the $100-$200 name brand ones.

  • Cast iron !

Will last for years, very hardy and non stick when seasoned.
