Passport & eTicket - First, Middle and Last Names

Hi I booked a flight with Studnet flights(Air China) and the agent has just put my FIRST and LAST Names(one word each) on the e-Ticket, skipped my middle names(which is 3 words)

I have asked her to update the eTicket, and she replied back saying that Airlines just look out for First/Last Names and not the middle names.

Wondering if anyone has faced this situation in the past

I think as this is her mistake, to be safe and have your full name, as on your passport. I mean it should be fine, however if you encounter a problem, you might not be admitted, my tickets have always had my name as per my passport.

All the time. I fly on first and last name only, I never use my middle name although it is on my passport.
    It's fine.

    • Ditto

      • As per passport
Name is ABCD EFG HIJKL MNOP
        Surnmae is QRSTUV

Name on eTickket is ABCD QRSTUV

        • In my case, as per passport

          First name: ABCD EFG
          Last Name: HIJ

where EFG is my middle name. Tickets are always ABCD HIJ

    It will be fine
My second name has a space in it technically.. e-ticket often skips the second word and i've never had an issue..

What a waste of time middle names are, i have one but didn't give one to any of my 3 kids.

  • You should be fine. You can't possibly be your agent's first customer and he/she can't possibly be put in the job without any training.

  • My wife has two last names. just using the first and one last name is fine as long as they are on passport. Middle names aren't needed
