Dyson DC35 refund on faulty goods?

Brought a Dyson cordless almost 2months ago from
BigW via lay-bys with e-gift cards. It wasn't charging, so Dyson posted out a new charger, which would charge it for 5sec, then stop. So Dysons sending out a new battery and motor. Isn't of waiting for replacement parts, I'd went back to BigW, and got a replacement vacuum. Plugged the new one into the power socket, and nothing. Is anyone else having difficulties with their recent Dyson DC purchases? Am I doing something wrong. Dyson helpline if offline today.
Should I get a full refund? Will it be refunded in gift cards?

  • Was it fully charged after the light went out? Or didn't run at all?

  • Didn't charge at all. There was no green light. Used different power sockets, and chargers.

  • You should really get refunded back to the same type of payment method used, i.e giftcard.

    You might get a cashier that just refunds back to EFT though.

  • try at other places? circuit at your place might be already at full load

  • The chances of this happening twice is almost nil. It's you.

  • But my other Dyson is charging in the same circuit and charger. It wasn't me, apparently other customers have brought their machines back too.

    Sounds like it's a bad batch. The second one you got was probably from the same batch! Hope the battery isn't from the same factory as whoever produced the Note 7 battery!
