What Have Been Your Best Rebranded/Rebadged Buys over The Years?

Everyone loves a rebranded/rebadged bargain. I'm talking about products which are manufactured by reputable brands, and then sold off under cheaper names/brands.

A couple that come to mind which I've purchased in the past:

  • My beloved Teac 42" Plasma TV was actually an LG panel (pretty good, at the time). You could still see the LG logo through the grill at the back of the TV!

  • I believe the Ikea LADDA 2450mAh rechargeable batteries I bought today are actually Eneloop Pros, but at a cheaper price.

What are the best rebranded/rebadged bargains that you guys have found over the years?

Rebranded is just the start to be honest.

It might surprise people that in many cases the brand does nothing at all with regards to making a product often not even designing the product: other entities make it and they slap their moniker on it.

It also might surprise people just how many products are simply extremely diluted base ingredients that cost thousands of times less in concentrated form.

Or how many products are exactly the same thing other than having a slightly different enclosure: except that the two products are sold as completely different items for completely different purposes at staggeringly different price points.

Have a SONIQ LCD that's 6 years old and it has a great Samsung panel. It's still going strong as a spare TV.

My friend told me his beloved female Thai friend was actually a male Thai friend (pretty good, at the time). You could still see the male logo through the bikini at the back of the body!

Bought a $50 Syma X5C quadcopter. At the time it was the best selling quadcopter worldwide. The model is rebadged and sold under hundreds of labels. The rebranded models sold in DickSmith, Aldi, Costco and toy shows usually RRP of $100-$120 but some as high as $200.

I received a free Australian Defence Force 512MB USB thumb drive. Microsoft Windows auto-detects it as a Kingston DataTraveler 2.0 USB Device

  • My DSE 39inch 1080p Flat screen tv cost me $150. Wish I bought two it is so good!

I bought a set of Aldi skis on Clearance for $99 reduced from $299. They are Austrian made by GASPO gpo.

Ive has them 6 seasons and thrashed them like the village bicycle, learnt how and practiced how to wax a time them. Best buy at aldi I ever made. The trumpet they had on clearance was also good for Wanderers fc games.
