  Horrible layovers, a b range airline - depending on when you want to go there could be better deals popping up.

  Just over $100 more with Air New Zealand.Well worth the extra expense! Few hours at Auknland airport is a good chance to stretch and circulate the blood.

    Yup, I've flown Air NZ to LAX, one of my most enjoyable long-haul flight ever. Great service and comfy seats. Would fly them again anytime.

    You are wrong, mate. China Southern has the newest fleet connecting Australia and China, and to the States.

    China Airlines is a Taiwanese one, by the way.
