Got a text from 0427 767 718.

Body says:
THIS WEEKEND ONLY! To celebrate the Grand Opening of our newest store, The Good Guys Marsden Park, please show this SMS to receive a $20 discount at any one of our Sydney Stores. In-store only. Expires 23/10. No Minimum Spend. T&Cs in-store. Reply STOP to Opt Out or call 1300466348

Is this legit?
They DO have the new store, but it's kinda difficult to find any info.

    I think it's legit, but just call up the stores to find out I guess? I wish I got the same text. Can you be kind enough to upload a screenshot?

    Yea i received same message but from a different number.
    For the $25 off min $50 spend texts, they just said from THEGOODGUYS with no number. Wouldve expected similar approach to sending the text in question.
    But it could be totally legit :p

      Have you gotten around to verifying it? I'd assume THEGOODGUYS was from head office, but perhaps this was from a local branch? It wouldn't make sense to send those to people in other states, etc.

    If it has no unsubscribe link then it is illegal spam.

    Many of Australia's largest and most well known businesses send SMS spam so obviously they aren't being fined or shamed hard enough.

    If the message is spam because it does not have an unsubscribe link then simply forward the message to ACMA on 0429 999 888

      If i forwarded the message, nobody would know. Im not sure if i should post it as a deal because it seems a bit dodgy
