Almost bought this for $55 but had a feeling to wait. $13.19 for legendary is cheap plus you get the upgrade to the special edition. This is a bargain for any Dragonborn.

You must have steam to activate and its for the Key only no physical disc.
Enjoy

  • Thanks, bought.

Now to go home after work, download, and PLAY!

    • What are you downloading? It doesn't come out until the 28th

      • This is legendary edition, that will upgrade you to special edition come 28th.

        • I know. So therefore there is nothing to download until the 28th, unless you want a large download and install now, only to play it for a day and then start the whole process again on special edition?

        • +5

@Putnum: There was a download link in the confirmation email, therefore I will download something when I get home. Unlimited internet, so download all of the things, all the time!

        • @BlackVY:

Download link in CDKeys emails just points you to the page with a picture of the Key you just bought (got the same thing the other day when I did it… argh could have sayed $3 if only I'd waited!)

        • +1

@kudoz: Looks like harakiri is the only option now… ;)

        • @BlackVY: Let me know how you go with your pre-special edition 😁

      • You can preload the game and it unlocks 11am AEDT tomorrow.

Friendly reminder to get a decent ENB running after all these graphic card deals

    • There's so many graphical mods to choose from for this game!

      • +3

Is true but many will have to be converted to the special edition.

    • I can never be bothered setting up an ENB, it's far too much effort installing and finding a good one.

      • I just get the ones that install via Nexus mod manager.

I was going to buy this and go adventuring… but I took an arrow to the knee.

    • Haven't heard that one in a while.

  • Any cheap deals on the DLC. I have Skyrim already, just not DLC.

Sign up to their site and like their Facebook page for another 5% off. I used a throwaway account.

  • Damn paid 19 bucks a few days ago from cdkeys

    • Paid $14.25 via Kinguin >.<

  • ahhh Cool thanks just bought it

  • "Free Upgrade to Special Edition Via Steam", is the price going to go up to $40-60 once the SE arrives or is it safe to wait and see if its worth buying after seeing some review?

    • +1

Don't think you'll really be losing out if you wanted to buy the game for a while now. It's essentially the same thing with some graphics upgrade which is why they're giving the free upgrade away.

      • They are basically putting the PC version onto the consoles as the "HD" special edition since the previous consoles had to run a cut-down version of the game. The PC gets a free upgrade to a 64 bit version of the game engine with a few texture and model replacements. The graphics are not hugely different compared to the previous PC release, especially with the graphical mods you can get. The main draw for PC players is that being 64 bit allows more RAM use which means you can add more mods :D

    • +2

Prices might increase a little after release and then go back down.

    • PC is getting the upgrade free, since it is basically just the old PC Legendary edition with mods so it would be pointless paying extra.

  • I already have the normal Edition of Skyrim :(

I have been waiting for a Flash sale where I can get all the DLC for a couple of dollars but this is so cheap maybe I should just take the plunge!

Last I checked all DLC ons team was like almost 50US !

Pretty sure my original key for Skyrim was region locked to Russia - which was a pain in the ass as I needed to use a VPN to play.

Will be interesting to see if the Special Edition they give me is similarly locked - I hope not.

    • +1

Where did you get your key from? You have to make sure it is a global key like this one as some keys are geographically locked like EU/Russia etc.

      • I dont remember where I got the key from - it was a couple of years ago. At the time I knew it was Russian but given the price was like 30% of the Aussie price I bit the bullet.

The good news is although my original game is Russian only, the freebie edition is ROW unlocked!

Just played it and now I remember why I never finished the game - so slow and boring.

        Ahh well.

    • +1

If you have a region locked game on Steam and later buy a ROW key then it will get rid of the region restriction for you :) I had to buy The Darkness 2 because originally I had a Russian key which was fine but after a month or so they region locked it so I couldn't even launch it but after buying another key off an Amazon sale the game works no worries.

  • Thanks heaps for this!

  • Thanks OP. Bought 1 myself.

  • Store in title please.

  • Did anyone else get an almost unreadable code?

I cant make out a few of the digits in my code and I've spent the last 10 minutes trying diff combinations but no nice.

    Time to contact cdkeys.com support.

    • Yeah mine was pretty unreadable, but was able to make it out so can confirm they work. I think they are just scanning them as for the poor quality.

      • +1

I've tried every possible combination of the bad scan that was sent to me.

It's looking like they are sending some used keys out.

Will charge back with PayPal now.

        • +1

On Steam if you enter a few invalid keys in succession then it won't accept any keys valid or not for a period of time and just reject everything you enter. This is to stop people just randomly generating keys and trying them all.

        • @Agret:

It's a separate error code though.

After too many incorrect attempts I got the message "Too many activation attempts, please wait and try your product code later".

I tried every single possible code before I got the too many attempts message with 'invalid code, try again'.

        • +1

@c0balt: If the key has already been used you get a message telling you that it has been redeemed already. Different to just invalid code.

        • @Agret:

Fair enough, I didn't get that - only invalid. After 10 minutes I can now try more attempts at the code, although I'm almost positive that it's an invalid code as I spreadsheeted up all the possible combinations of the code and they all came up as invalid.

Hoping to hear back from the support team by tonight.

        • @c0balt: May be a stupid question and sorry if i offend but are you putting the the "-" (hyphen) in between each set of numbers?

        • @Therealham:

          Of course.

The problem I am having is that the code is poorly scanned where there's gaps and additional artifacts in letters/digits which could easily confuse E's for F's, T's for E's, 8's for B's, 6's for G's ect.

I've tried about 10 different plausible combinations of what the scan could have been.

        • ["Will charge back with PayPal now."]

Don't think Paypal allows that with digital product purchases

          Welcome to be advised differently

Just purchased one and tried activating.. Invalid steam key…

  • +2

Purchased & activated within minutes. Yay.

  • +1

    Worked for me. Thanks!

  • I jumped on this last night when I saw the price!

Accidentally applied key to the wrong steam account, but at this price I just took it as a lesson learnt and bought a 2nd key.

    • You could've just family shared it with yourself instead of having to buy 2 keys.

  • +1

Looks like, for those than own the complete editon, a preload of the new version is now available on steam as a seperate game.

    • 1 question, How? Would like to have it ready come Friday Afternoon.

      • +2

For me it popped up in my Library randomly today, under the name The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition with a preload button where Install usually is.

Showing AUD 16.49 for me, is it just me?

    • Not just you mate. The price has increased to AUD$16.49.

      • Well damn… just when i get home from work to buy….

    • +1

Still worth it at this price I reckon.

      • Yeah i dunno… already got the base game, and the DLC has been MUCH cheaper in the past..
But i caved and got it for $15.67

  • Not sure if you guys noticed but the Steam pre-load for Skyrim SE is up!

    • Not for everyone.. Did you buy this one or did you already have skyrim.

      • Already owned it with all the DLC

  • I bought at $16.48 :( but IMO still worth it.

  • Am I the only one to get an email requesting a copy of a photograph ID along with todays time and date written on a piece of paper?

    I mean seriously… come on!

    • +1

This mob is not looking particularly savoury. I was sent an invalid key and been having back and forth with support where the person only wants to tell me what variations the code could possibly be due to the poor scan rather than verify that it's invalid and supply me with a working code.

From the first email I requested that they supply a working code, but after 4 replies I just keep being told what my code could be rather than a working code. I've been fairly placid, but I might need to use slightly more assertive language if the next reply doesn't contain a working code.

I'll be negging any cdkeys.com deal in the future if I can't get this sorted out by tomorrow. Someone in this thread even negged another guys post saying he got an invalid key, don't know why they would do that.. real problems OZB members have with vendors should be upvoted for exposure not downvoted.

Cdkeys.com needs to get their act together or should be banned from this site.

  • Good deal op. Bought.

Check allkeyshop for the cheapest current key price, I think mine was around $14.

    • Thanks very much for sharing, just bought the Legendary Edition from your link, no issues. Instantly received working Steam code.

  • Just a follow up to the invalid code I received.

It has now been solved. I was sent a new code and it activated fine.

I'm preloading the special edition now!

  • How are you guys preloading the SE? I can't seem to find it

    DW found it.

Do I need to have Skyrim 5 already installed or can i just go ahead and install the SE only and play?
