Navigating these Lenovo sales (hunting for sub $650 laptop)

I'm after a deal for a max 14inch laptop, maxing out at A$650.

Like a lot of people here, began to lick my lips at the Lenovo e450 $399 (down $200) … except the deal unexpectedly vanished after 24 hours. Now it's $499 ($100 off).

It seems the sales are changing daily.

Today I feel like i'm being teased with deals like ThinkPad E460 14" i5-6200U, 8GB ram, 1TB for $649 ($150 off).

Anyway i've resigned to committing to the cause.

Like anyone in the market, keen for decent processor, 8GB ram, SSD, FullHD screen. I know it's impossible in AUS with $650 but for anyone else in my boots thought I'd make this thread.

Go-tos are ozbargain, ebay and refurb outfits that offer warranties. Also ordering in from O/S.

    Xmas arriving very soon, you don't have to worry about it.

    For those interested, I just pulled the trigger on a manufact refurb Lenovo off ebay

    Lenovo E460 460 ThinkPad i5-6200U 8GB - it had a 1TB hdd but they are removing it ($50 discount) and I am BYO'ing a 256GB SSD that I bought for A$83.

    So with the $50 discount it's $545+$83SSD = A$628 for 14" i5-6200U, 8GB, 256GB SSD, 6 months warranty, tax invoice (it's not full HD).

    Also looks like today Lenovo decided to put the IdeaPad 310 (14") on sale - $599 ($400 off).

      Thats a crappy laptop. Low resolution and spinning rust,not worth the 1 grand price rrp

      Ideapads are beneath Edge series in terms of build.

      Tiny 2 cell 39 watt hour battery too.
