      Steam reviews aren't a good metric, especially for new games. Too many whiners.

      Personally I loved DXMD — GOTY for me so far.
      It's basically the gameplay of DXHR all polished up and improved. It's fantastic.

      A lot of people didn't like the story in DXMD, but I didn't mind it. It does end somewhat abruptly though (the game itself is long enough, and there's heaps of side missions to do — I actually spent longer on my 1st run through than I did on DXHR).
      DXMD seems to be a "love it or hate it" kind of deal.

        A lot of people seem to say it ends abruptly, even on steam reviews and now yourself.
        What was so abrupt about it?
        HR gameplay was pretty good as was the story.
        But if MD is just good gameplay but no story / half a story then I might just wait until it's on sale for $5 before buying

        Rumours are that Square Enix forced Eidos Montreal to split the game into at least 1-2 more games to form a "trilogy". So that's why the story feels like it's been cut off. It was originally supposed to be much grander in scale.

        Not sure if Mankind Divided is Part 1 or 2 of the trilogy.

        Personally I thought the story in DXMD was fine, I had no qualms about it. It's a very different feel though, deliberately very grim and dark. Nothing like the futurism optimism/golden era of augmentation that was DXHR.

    Wish I could've returned it, impossible to play with a mouse and keyboard for me a fundamental they at least got right in the original 16 years ago.

      I loved the game and I had no issues playing it with mouse and keyboard, check your settings

        You may get lucky, maybe do a search before buying.

        They acknowledged it and released a patch that did nothing to help, I spent hours with every suggested setting change and ultimately had to finish the game by stealth (cos I couldn't aim at anyone).

        As far as I know it was still an issue

        @pennyless: funny thing my system is old and I was worried it wouldn't run, it did without issue, so never looked for fixes, guess i was lucky? o.O
