Not suer where to ask this question. I have 1k store credit with harvey norman, and i don't need anything from harvey norman. what would be the best way to go about converting this into cash? do i go and buy an iphone and resell it? gift cards if they even sell them? thanks.
ah, if thats the case, what would be the best item(s) to buy for ease of selling + good resale price?
You can probably flip the voucher for 10-20% discount on face value.
Phones have pretty good resale value. I would avoid iPhone, since that rarely goes on sale. Look for another phone that's on 'sale' … should be able to flip that for cost price, once its off sale.
On the other hand iPhone would probably be the best option. They are never on sale but they have the best resale so you will get back pretty close to what you paid for it especially if brand new in box
I would guess you'll take a 10-15% hit on the iPhone … think about it. Why would someone pay RRP for a iPhone on gumtree/ebay/ozb. Save your time and just flip the store credit for a similar loss.
I'd try to buy a Visa giftcard which would be nearly as good as cash. Some of the Harvey Norman stores sell them.
Pretty sure no store lets you buy gift cards with store credit. Or if any do, it would be very very few.
