White-flies killing my mints!

Need help here!!

Got my self a mints from Bunnings 2 weeks ago and planted it in to the garden and a week later it have a few white flies on the plants.

I have tried to spray soup with water mix and Yates spray, but both not working they just keep coming back.

The soup water have been burning the leaves too.

    1) don't plant Mint in your garden.. Plant it in a pot!
It's a weed and will take over everything!
    2) the White flies sound like Aphid. - home remedy is to put (used) tea leaves around the base of the plants.

Garlic spray works well. The most important thing is to use nature within nature, work with, not against:)

  • The quickest, most effective option is pyrethrum spray. Its about $12 and you can buy it at Woolworths or Bunnings. Spray to the top side and underside of the mint leaves. It's a toxin extracted from flowers so is safe for the plants and harmless to humans.

  • If you go to the Yates website you can have a live chat with a horticulturalist and upload photos. They obviously only suggest Yates products but I still find them very helpful.

  • Thanks guys.
Let me try them out and see how I go.
    cheers
