Do you own Water Dancing Speakers?

Hi guys,

I'm looking at getting a pair of water dance speakers and had a quirky question that I need answered. Can I just have the water dance feature on without having the speakers on? Can I make it more sensitive, or does it get more sensitive depending on how loud you turn it up?

Basically I want to use it for gaming where in a dead silent environment a footstep will cause it to go off.

TIA!

That is a neat trick. Hi I would also love to know this.

My sister has some but I have not been able to really use them since Christmas.

    • Hi AlienC, so I purchased some in January and last week got around to playing with them. You just unscrew them and unplug or cut the cord going to the speakers. The water features still work.

Then you just need an Aux splitter (or do dual sound, though that's a bit trickier to set up) and away you go!

I use optical for my soundbar so I can't use them for that, but when I switch to my headphones they activate which is ideal because that's exactly when I wanted to be using them!

I don't think they were intended for the mlg scene.. Considering the quality of the speakers, you probably won't be able to hear footsteps either.

    What are they?

    • Generic plastic speakers from Big W, Target that shoot water through a thin tube with vibrations.

      • Nice

      • Big W and Target have them? I haven't seen them in stores, just online only eg. Kogan has them for $22 incl ship, ebay a bit cheaper

        • Yeah my local Big W has them but they're nothing more than a gimmick to market poor quality speakers, I wouldn't recommend them for gaming.

        • @Baebs: Did you read my post? I don't want them for the sound. I want to know if I can use them without the sound.

@Putnum: Oh sorry didn't realise that you wanted them exclusively for footsteps.

        • The target one is meant for phones and it has Bluetooth connection. Aux as well. It's in a tower shape with an IR remote control.

  • Sounds like the new lava lamp. Cool for a while, then not.

    • How are lava lamps not cool? Always have been and always will be :)
