Has anybody got any experience with cloud storage provider Degoo

Hello everybody,

I was just wondering whether any of you have used Degoo (www.degoo.com) before and what your experience is/was with it? Were the files backed up correctly? Were they restored correctly? Were they there at all? How easy is the user interface?

I have come across very good reviews and then some comments state that people have lost their files or at the very least could not find them.

I would be grateful for any reviews/feedback/experiences by Ozbargain members.

Thanks.

  • I stick to what I know personally
I host with Dropbox / Zoolz and have had no dramas yet
100gb of Free storage with Degoo sounds good and it gets okay reviews
I think personally for a free platform your expectations should meet the price point :)

My suggestion is go for it, who knows if it will be around for the longer term like dropbox / zoolz etc but it sounds like a game changer for 100gb free

    • Thanks. Using Mega at the moment but cannot find any reliable info on the 10Gb monthly bandwidth limit which would backing up files bigger than 10Gb useless as I could never download them again without paying.

Have you got any experience with Mega or know about that bandwidth limit? Some reports on the internet say that this limit is refreshed every 30 minutes which would be ok but I am not sure if this is true.

      • Don't know tbh mate but I dont have any download limits with a few hacks I use for Mega

        • Using Chrome plug ins? Is that what you are talking about?
Saw those on Youtube but it seems a lot of effort (and jeopardising data security due to the use of Chrome) for it.
If there is an easy, safe way to do it, I would be very interested to hear it (use PM please).
          Thanks for your comments.

        • @Lysander:

Due to ozbargain moderation rules I cannot express illegal actions via PM or post however
Google / Reddit will point you in the right direction

No need for VPN rubbish or data safety issues

        • @studiosoundguy:

Ok. Thanks. Although I am not sure whether this would count as an illegal action as it does not infringe any law, possibly only terms and conditions made by a corporation.
          I will check reddit.
          Thanks again.
