Tyre Conditions for Gravel Road Driving

I'll be doing daily gravel road driving and country driving for the next month. How should I adjust my tyre pressure accordingly? The road has quite a lot of pot holes and rocks the size of a fist.

I've currently got the tyres inflated to 34 psi. Should I deflate them more? They are Michelin Pilot Sport 3.

The car is a Honda Integra. Swapping cars is not an option so I just have to make do with what I've got.

Thanks.

Best to keep it at 32-34 psi.. Too low and you may start damaging the sidewall..

  • Lowering the tyre pressure will only damage the tyre & rims.

Normal tire pressure, drive slow and carefully, keep in mind that braking distance will increase in loose gravel.

    • Particularly if you have ABS.
