  • Any recommendations for a smudge/water proof eyeliner?

    • +2

What type of eyeliner? Kohl Pencil? Felt tip? Gel? Dip?

If you want waterproof, I really like the Essence Dip Waterproof Eyeliner in Black. Its tricky to use though because its liquid. They have a waterproof felt-tip one but its out of stock, and I haven't tried it.

I also really like the Nyx Gel Liner, but its not specifically waterproof, it does tend to stay put for me.

I never have any luck with kohl pencils so I am no help there.

      • +1 for gel eye liner. Never tried the NYX one. You'll need a liner brush if it doesn't come with one. I find the flat ones easier to use with gel. Oh, and get a good eye makeup remover to get that stuff off!

      • Maybelline gel eyeliner is great and works just as well as the Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner.

    • Hear a lot of good things from Essence's waterproof eyeliner range, comes in gel liquid and pencil!

  • I used the essence felt tip one! It was perfect non smudge and easy to use. Highly recommend!

    • Is it like a marker? :P Maybelline has one but it smudges. I can't draw a straight line with a ruler XD Looking at a Rimmel waterproof pen atm though it's a paint brush tip rather than angled.

Great! Was waiting for one of these to use my quarterly spend voucher on. Thanks OP

Need recommendation for an eye cream anyone?

    • +1

I think that falls under skincare. But I really like Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado.

        Which Priceline don't sell …

I got an antipodes one during the 40% off skincare, it's ok, I don't really expect much from eye creams other than a bit of under-eye hydration

    • I like the L'Oréal one, and I have sensitive skin.

        Thanks everyone.

Trilogy has a good eye cream.

      Eye cream recommendations:

Essano Eye Creme in the bright pink tube (all-natural NZ line - supermarket as well as CW/Priceline),
      People for Plants,
and a luxe option would be Perfect Potion.

      All good for sensitive skin.

  • is this for online as well?

    • +1

      Yes.

Probably the most girls I've 'seen' in one post. 😂

That's a pretty heteronormative approach. Maybe they are just into eyeliner.

There are no women on the internet. #GateKept

  • Recommendations for a good browkit?

  • How am I keep on missing the skin care 40% off sales? ARGHHH makeup one again!! :(((

    • evy, the skincare one is usually around end of July and end of December/early January.

I stock up on Antipodes so I have sussed out when the 40% off skincare sale is usually on.

      • thanks!! should try to save some money for it then, not spend it all on boxing day sales :D OH and any recommendations from antipode line? it's cruelty free, right?

        • No worries :) Yeah I tend to just spend heaps then on antipodes lol

Yes it's cruelty free and some of their products are also certified organic. My favourite is the Grapeseed butter cleanser but unfortunately Priceline doesn't sell it. My other favourite is the Divine face oil (Rosehip and avocado oil). I also love the Hosanna serum! You can't go wrong with Antipodes. I've been using it for nearly 4 years now.

Thankyou! My mascara is almost dried out and I need another one. Sweet :D

I have been advised that women do not change these frequently enough; at least each month. I like the Maybelline Define-A-Lash, so I may stock up on a few.

      • +1

Been told at the academy that you have to replace it every 3months and use it daily to make it worth the price.

        • That's interesting. Had an eye (cataract) operation and that is what a nurse told me. Have been avoiding mascara recently but it doesn't hurt to be a little over cautious I guess.

        • +2

          @JediJan:

If you had an eye surgery, your eyes are probably a tad more sensitive than normal. Most manufacturers recommend throwing it out at 6 months (that open container symbol). 3-6 months should be ok, unless you pump your wand in and out all the time or have some eye disease.

        • +2

@Ughhh: My favourite thing to do with mascara: pump it! XD

      • Oh my gosh I'm so gross. I only use it maybe once a week and to be honest I've probably had it almost a year >_< I should probably a reminder on my phone to change it more often. Yikes!

        • +1

Same! But I figured so long it still smells the same I won't chuck it…

Can someone recommend a toner for guys?

    • +2

I use Sukin and Witch Hazel
Although they won't be included in this sale.

    • +1

I love the Simple one, green bottle english brand. Also CW is usually cheaper if they have it.

    • +1

Note toner is skincare, so it won't included in this sale.

  • Anyone know a good concealer or other cosmetic for covering up under-eye circles/bags?

    • Revlon had a good one but it has been some time I have looked. I should be looking for a good one myself; since my eye operation I see I have dark circles now … and some grey hairs too! Oh well; the money I save on lenses can be spent on a little makeup.

    • maybelline fit me concealer quite popular

    • I like Maybelline Fit me for blemishes and Maybelline Age Rewind for undereyes… they're good!

  • How bout recommendations for a good Mineral Liquid Foundation ? I use Napoleon but its $69 surely I can get a better deal :)

    • +1

Not sure about mineral but my favorite drugstore liquid foundation is maybelline fit me, i have dry skin so i use the dewy version but i have heard that matt + poreless version is great too.

    • +1

TBH I was really excited when Chemist Warehouse had their 50% off sale, so I tried so many drugstore foundations and they just don't compare to my Lancome :( Revlon, Maybelline, Rimmel were highly rated and yet so poor in comparison.

      • Thinking I might just stick to what I know :)
