Recommendation for Melbourne Removalists / Moving Company?

Hello ozbargain,

Any good recommendations for furniture removalists in Melbourne that you may have used/know someone who has used? I've tried renting a moving van from budget before (which I think was around $200 for the day) but wanted to know if it's worth paying the extra dosh to get someone else to drive a big van/truck and to help with the heavy stuff. Such as:

Fridge
2x recliners
Couch
Bed (frame folds down plus mattress)
Washing Machine
Shelves x 3

From what I've researched it seems that a lot of places have many hidden fees or extra hourly rates etc. I think one extra set of hands would help, unsure about truck size required.

    You can try Airtasker.
    There are a lot of removalist with van or truck there.
    Offer a reasonable price and I'm sure you will work it out cheaper than hire Budget yourself.
    FYI, worker only gets 85% of your offer price

      good, I'd recommend airtasker. May've just had a good mover, but there's always reviews to check out on people offering to help
