Mech Pro Air Impact Wrench Or Blackridge?

Anyone on here have any experience with the Mech Pro Air Impact Wrench that is in the current Repco catalogue?

I'm considering upgrading my air impact ridge as my current one can't even undo wheel nuts. Repco have this one in the current catalogue for $119, 1/2" Dr. 680Nm torque. 9-27mm sockets.

Supercheap have two Blackridge branded ones, 1/2"( 370Ft-Lb (501Nm)) and 3/4"(450Ft-Lb (610Nm)) for around $100, this and this.

Anyone have any experience with either? I'm leaning towards the Mechpro one as it says it has a high rating of torque and includes sockets.

I know they aren't the best but it's within my current budget. What do you guys think?

    I have: https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-1-2-air-impact-tool_p62904… and https://www.bunnings.com.au/kincrome-10-piece-impact-socket-…

From my limited understanding, all these low end impact wrenches are limited by your air compressor more than anything. The ozito that I had felt useless when the compressor was set at 90psi, because when you pulled the trigger the line pressure dropped to around 75psi. So I bumped the regulator up to 110/115psi and now I get a solid 90psi at the tool. Maybe give that a go before buying new tools.

  • I'll give it a go. I've got a better compressor now, Stanley belt driven model.

But the impact driver I have was only a cheapie, maybe $30 on sale years ago from supercheap. They don't stock that brand anymore and I'm not sure of its ratings.
