Ski Gloves

Hi OzBargainers!

Just wondering if any of you here knows or can find for me the highest quality but also the cheapest ski gloves? I'm looking for one that is waterproof(something similar to Goretex technology) and durable. I'm looking for somewhere ard $30 max if possible. I've found some which is about $50 plus (which I think not worth for me as I wont be going ski often, just for this one time or two). I've found the cheapest one here in Australia from Rebel - http://www.rebelsport.com.au/ecom/rebel/product_detail.aspx?…

I'm not sure if that glove is waterproof as it doesn't say so in the description. Perhaps someone can help me what are the important features of the glove I should have?

It's my first time going to ski so I dont really have any idea.

Appreciate any comments!! Thanks! :)

Edit: If I have one ski gloves, do I need to wear an underneath layer of gloves? I'm referring to the fleece material type gloves underneath, then the normal waterproof ski gloves outside? Or just the one outside is sufficient?

  • It depends on a few things. My gf has bought a pair of 20 dollar gloves and stayed dried the whole day, i've bought a pair of 80 dollar gloves that got drenched by noon.

If you're willing to spend the money, look for something with "Gore-Tex' thats the best stuff on the market right now.

Kathmandu is having "up to 60% off" sale right now so you might be able to find something there.

p.s i just use the outside glove. they usually have sufficient fleece marterial
