    How is this a deal?
This has been a thing for ages and has never cost anything?

And it's not 10 business days… it's 48 hours for the parcel locker and then they take it out after that and bring it into the actual post office.

This is basically only any good if Australia Post has horrible service in your area.
This was the case at my previous address, and even though I had significant distance to travel to a parcel locker, it still beat the alternative. (AusPost parcels go to the delivery driver's office, not the nearest)

There's no deal here, as this is available at any time, anywhere in Australia.

It's also not a freebie, as you still have to pay for postage. It's not an alternative address, as you can only receive parcels (no letters, etc)

    • "It's also not a freebie, as you still have to pay for postage."

Pretty sure when something is free it's considered a freebie.
It's good for people who work before the post office opens until it closes. That way you can rock up to a locker that cost you nothing, after work and collect the item. Instead of having to juggle life just to collect a parcel.

  • NOT A DEAL!

    Always been a free service.

I wasn't aware of this…… Thanks for posting

Just be wary - they take ages around Christmas to put stuff into the lockers, probably due to congestion. And no couriers other than Auspost and Startrack will accept them as delivery addresses, so you need to check who is delivering the stuff that you buy. If Toll or similar, there will be issues - at a minimum changing delivery address, at worst they'll just send your parcel back to the sender

  • Come on… This is borderline a deal…
