    So where's the bargain?

  • +1

    $750 for a two seater… don't see how this is a bargain.

  • We gonna get an answer store rep?

    Can hear crickets ……

What is it with stores using this website to advertise rubbish deals today? Can't these just be removed?

  • The bad: we recently spent 6 weeks chasing them for our order.
The good: the table is really heavy duty (it weighs a tonne), the timber is thick decking hardwood timber (i.e. it won't warp in a hurry), the frame is chunky galvanised steel.
The ok: the table wasn't oiled & the ends needed sanding.

If anyone is interested, pop into their Richmond store & have a look. They are really solid.

    • Who has their own beer garden? I have a garden in which I drink beer but I don't need an industrial grade seat to enjoy it…in the context of this community of consumers, this doesn't qualify as a bargain, it's merely advertising for commercial equipment.

      • We use it as our outdoor table. I've had 3 tables in 8 years. I've had aluminium & glass (until the glass shattered - never again) then 2 wooden ones which both ended up warping & degrading due to the weather (even though I oiled them every 6 months).

These are proper tables made in Melb. We paid ~$450 for a 1500mmx860mm the table (we already have chairs) and I expect it'll last 5-10 yrs (the later if I keep oiling it every 6mths) because the timber slats are 90mmx18mm hardwood.the legs are 50mm square galvanised steel.the timber slats could be replaced quite easily.

Considering the crap you see see at Bunning/Masters/outdoor furniture places for well over a $1k it seems very cheap to me for something that seems well built.
