It depends on what you like. They're both different.

Johnson has a kind of clear metallic look where as 3M is a more charcoal colour. The Johnson is a better performing film.

Suntec CXP is a better performer than the 3M and it's a more black colour or 3M grey charcoal, it also blocks against infrared which the 3M doesn't.

    • So would you say Suntec one is better then johnson? because i read that inulatiR has the same features like infrared blocking, etc

      • I say Suntek is better because I prefer a more black tint over a clear/grey one. They both have similar specifications.

Google photos of each tint and see which you prefer

  • the glass blocks out infrared - so tint is irrelevant

    • I'm not knowledgeable in infrared or light sources etc, but surely tint is better than clear glass you would get stock on a normal car?

      • And why do you think tint is better than clear glass other than looks?

      Glass blocks UV not infrared

      • UVB rays are blocked by glass, UVA rays can still penetrate. That's why cars heat up in the sun…

  • I don't remember the brand but I got the premium done from this for 130 with Groupon voucher. Really good job

Think it was suntek or something. They have some samples at the counter

Edit: ops just checked website and it is suntek. I've got the reflective one where u can check itself out on a hot day.

    • So you are happy with just the carbon?

      • I paid for the Metallised film with a Groupon voucher so it was 179 but paid 130 in the end.

But I'm not actually sure what the guy gave me as I didn't stay around to watch him tint my car. Hopefully I got the metallised film haha. But it is a reflective surface and I can use it as a mirror.

I was really impressed with the job the guy did though, definitely keeping my car alot cooler. I'll grab some photos for you later tomorrow maybe.
