I'm currently working with a friend on a 100% open-source, free, all-in-one 'business hub' application, currently called 'Notified'. It's on GitHub, here's a link: https://github.com/JackDean123/Notified
I handle 99% of the frontend, he handles 99% of the backend.
The inspiration is Schoolbox (similar concept, but for schools).
Here's what we have planned so far:
- Custom Branding
- User Permissions Manager
- Messageboard
- Knowledgebase/Wiki
- Private Messaging
- Scheduling / Rostering
It's very basic in its current state, just a proof of concept so far, with daily updates. Feel free to set it up if you have an AD environment, as well as a webserver. We'll have a demo setup on a VPS very soon :)
It will always be 100% open-source and free. If something like this ever took off, we could offer premium support, as it's business-focused.
Anyway, I very much value the OZB community's input. What would you be looking for in an application like this. We'd like to cater to as many businesses as possible.
