Moving Interstate Perth-Melbourne and Job Opportunities?

Hi Ozbargainers,

Recently got married( my partner works in Melbourne) and planning to move from Perth to Melbourne. Currently working for a logistics organisation as a Logistics and Support Coordinator. Not to mention my contract with my current employer will end by January end.

I'm actively into job hunt as of now and got my resume rebuild by a professional resume writer. I also have work experience in sales and marketing and customer service roles. What are my options? Shall i apply jobs in Logistic sector or should i looking into Customer Service roles (based on my experience) as well?

Also I'am contemplation to move and work part time over in Melbourne so that i can invest more time in job search. What are the risks and opportunities?

Waiting for you valuable suggestions!!!

  • This late into the season finding something in Logistics Coordinating would be quite hard.
most of the recruiting would have been completed in time for the increase in volume for Christmas.

    • Understood the point, Well i'm even open for any other roles in customer service industry like call centre's.

  • Guys any inputs?

    • In this day and age just apply for anything that interests you that you believe you a qualified for or can talk yourself up to be qualified for.

Best thing to do is network.

working part time is okay whilst looking for full time work but don't get stuck in that rut.

      Apply for everything…
