probably because 21:9 is popular as '3d monitors'

OP: What's your budget price for a deal? Samsung S34E790C is pretty good at approx $880.

Monitor isn't wanted for professional purchases and my eyes are quite old, so I'm even contemplating 2560 x 1080 :(
