Car Service with Simon's Auto Electrics

Anyone heard of this company "Simon's Auto Electrics" located at 69 Sydenham Rd Marrickville, NSW 2204? I saw they sell voucher on Groupon for discount service with very good price. I really want to send my Honda CRV for them to services as the service fee with Groupon is so cheap compare with I already have my services with Honda.

The only stop me is the review on the Google for them is not that great!

Anyone can help?

By the way I live in Kogarah NSW,if you guys know somewhere closer to where I live, good car service with affordable price please share with me.

Many Thanks!

The cheap servicing deals are mostly just to bring the customer into the workshop.

Once you factor in the likely-assessment that the headlight fluid needs replacing along with whole heap of other things, the final amount will be significantly different.

    • Headlight fluid?

Yes, the headlight fluid. It is a specific fluid inside the headlights and needs to be maintained at a certain temperature and pressure. There is a temperature sensor and pressure sensor connected to the electronic engine management unit. It can affect the engine combustion pattern and increase your fuel consumption. If you do not change the fluid you could also damage the automatic transmission electronic controls.
The mechanic told me…. he knows his stuff and is very honest…

        • Um, I've never heard of headlight fluid. Where would it go lol, it's a bulb and a power connector…

        • Really?So no worth it?

        • @TheOneWhoKnocks: it was funnier to play along ;) lol who would believe that rofl

        • @Slippery Fish:

          who would believe that

          You'd be surprised.
Some time ago a lady collegue was having problems with her car. I offered to take a look at it.
The engine oil was well below the minimum mark. I asked her when was the last time she checked or had someone check the oil.
Her reply: I thought it only needed petrol!

I would be very suspicious of a mechanic that needs Groupon vouchers to get clients unless it is a new business.

Notwithstanding maxi's A Grade trolling, these Groupon deals almost always never include "consumables" for the service like oil, power steering fluid etc, so the price you pay groupon is NOT the price the service will cost you.

Oh no!Sound like trap for me now!!!

  • Don't bother with them. If you see groupon deals from them, please don't buy or you'll regret. When you go there, they will add this and that in addition to what you have paid for the voucher. In total, the amount will be same or can be more expensive than not buying voucher. Look elsewhere.
