Vaya Changing to MMS Voicemail

Just got an email from Vaya (I know not everyone on here likes them)

Hi there,

We wanted to give you a heads up that your missed call notifications will be changing on 21 November.

What will be changing?
Instead of converting the first 10 seconds of a voice message to text, you will receive a voice recording sent to >you as an MMS.

Can I continue to receive voice messages as text?
No. However, you can always turn your missed call notifications on and off as you please. For more info on how to >do this check out our Missed Call Service support page.

Will I be charged for this service?
Nope, this is a free service.

If you have any other questions, then feel free to contact us.

Thanks,
The Vaya Team

That's ok by me. The voice to text conversion was quite inaccurate and a bit too short.

    • Agreed - that's a good move on their part. Not that I care, as my new Optus SIM from Wednesday's deal arrived this morning.

      • I wouldn't mind moving to Optus for the unlimited Spotify. But they are still more expensive, can't beat $18 a month for 1.5gb and enough calls/text (or $16 and unlimited calls/text with 1gb data. Haven't had any dramas with Vaya so will stick with them for now.

        • I agree that their $18 month Unlimited plan is still excellent value if you don't need more data. The Optus plan is twice the price.

I was on the $28 plan with 3GB, so it was easier to justify the extra $7 to go up to 10GB + unmetered Google Music.
