G2A and "Your account has been blocked due to suspicious activity."

So I went to buy a code on G2A and paid with paypal. The payment was on hold, and when I tried to login, it said:

"Your account has been blocked due to suspicious activity."

Err, OK. Checked my paypal account and no payment had been made. Emailed support but I've yet to receive a reply.

Didn't want to wait so I just went and made a purchase with my other email/paypal account. I managed to purchase it and got the shipment email where I could access the code through a link and redeem it. However, I then tried to login on the G2A site using this new account and it too has come up with the same message of having been blocked due to 'suspicious activity'. Not sure what is going on but G2A's site is a buggy POS. I had made a handful of purchases with my original account over the years, but now all these accounts are just getting blocked.

Has anyone had similar experiences?

  • My account was blocked cause someone got my login password i didn't have a single payment method linked to the account either.

They wanted a photocopy of my ID. aswell as a bunch of information about what the account bought and when.
all for an account that possessed literally nothing no payment info unused game keys nothing.

I made another account which has not been blocked since.

  • Had this happen to me a few years ago but i was charged. Cause my paypal email was diff to the g2a login email. Was asked for photo ID, i didnt bother and just asked for a full refund.
