Kids Stocking Stuffers for under $5

Howdy campers,

As Christmas approaches, it's time to load up on some cheap trinkets to keep 2-3 dozen kids from the extended family entertained for a few fleeting moments over the festive season. I'm struggling for ideas this year, but to give an indication of the type of thing that's hit the mark in previous years, I'm hoping for the 2016 equivalent of these recent hits;

    Kids keep quiet on their phones and tablets

    Adults relax and rejoice they don't have kids running all over the place

    Christmas becomes an antisocial occasion hurray

  • for us when camping we found water pistols, bat and balls (soccer balls, cricket set etc), cheap 2 way radios, bubbles, or the glow sticks (100 pack at Big W for $10) are favourites and keep the kids busy for hours.

    Or chuck the kids outside with a roll of plastic and shampoo then add water and you have a slip n slide :) (yep not quite a stocking idea but will keep the kids entertained).
