  • When you say renovation sale, does that mean it's specific to your local store?

  • Will the nokia x6 still be on the $29 cap after the renovation sale?

Yea not too bad.. not great but not bad.
    Title is quite misleading though.

Firstly, it seems like you could get a phone for $19. I didn't think that because that's unreal, and I've actually seen this deal somewhere else too but I can imagine other people thinking "OMG A PHONE FOR $19!!" (because that's how it's worded).

Secondly, even if you were to interpret it as $19/month over a 12 or 24 month contract or whatever, it seems like $19 over the 24 months when it really is only for the first 12 months, so you might want to consider renaming your title a little.

    • I agree. maybe "$19/month for the first 12 months" would be a better tittle. then include that it is $29 for the next 12 months

      • yea sorry about that :p just got uber-excited cuz I couldn't believe the E71 was part of the promo!

cheers for the advice, I've updated the title and description

        • Once the deal ends do u know if the phones will still be on the $29 cap?

        • That's alright haha

  • How good the coverage for 3?

    • +1

I'm on Three and have been for 12mths+ and I'd have to say the coverage is pretty poor. When I drive from one side of the city to the other (Melb), I always get my calls disconnected at Albert Park and the Westgate Bridge. I also take the phone out camping, where my friends on Telstra have plenty of reception, mine would be on dead zero.

      • Pretty sure that 3 roam on the Telstra network? Unless that has changed recently with the Vodafone merger.

        • I don't know… Even if they do, it doesn't explain why I don't get reception whereas a mate of mine is watching YouTube right next to me!

  • why don't spend $16 more in first 12 month and $6 more in the second 12 month to get a iPhone 3GS and more call/internet quote? plus some lucky guys got first 3 months free!

  • Hey guys,
The E71 is now available for $19 on the 24 month cap at Crazy Johns.
I work at the Hawthorn store so you can see me there always

    • is the phone locked?

      • you can unlock immediately by calling them up.

EDIT: sorry didnt read, i meant for three. not for crazy johns one.

I've been looking for a new plan for my dad. Three have been getting better and better with their plans. By better I mean cheaper. This is based on their e63 $29 cap offer which has now become the e71 $29 cap offer. Based on their trends, I'm going to bet that their next deal coming out after June 30th will be much better… of which I'm gonna snap up =)

    • Great prediction, any chances you could tell me what gold prices will be doing in the next 24months?

      • +1

Actually I probably could but that's another story for another day =)

      • New plans are out. Need I say more or shall I commence rubbing in the salt =)

Take note that three coverage is very poor in their own broadbandzone, which leads your mobile roaming in and out of zones. Which means you will be paying $0.50/MB for data, excluded from your data pack.I am not sure whether this is included in your call cap or not. If your phone is set to check mails at regular intervals you may end up paying more even you haven't finished your data allowance.

  • The deal seems pretty good but how do you get the $84 Money back offer?.

  • Is the half price internet pack available to customers who have already joined?

  • while these prices may be cheap-ish, i would never recommend three to anyone, EVER. i have been with three in the past (and am still locked in to a 24 month contract with their hopeless wireless "broadband") and it has been nothing but problems all the way. constant dropouts, refusing to connect, ridiculous additional data charges (i was sent a bill for $480 for one month of broadband i hadn't even used and they refused to do anything about it). the most unreliable phone company i have ever had the displeasure of dealing with (and their call centre staff are an absolute joke also)

..yep, three are pathetic. avoid at all costs.

    • i meet the same problem, after several service call,3 let me cancel the contract no penalty.

  • -> themonty

my apologies for not going through the whole deal, to check that it worked out to an average of about $19 a month

  • Great deal. I highly recommend the Nokia E71.

  • If anyone would like to save 25 dollars on their bill, PM me and i send you a referrall code!

    • Does use of a referral code negate the Moneybackco referral?

      • No it does not. To claim the $64 money back guarantee you need to sign up for the deal by click through the moneyback website.
For the $25 3's referral credit you get once the account is setup.

        • I thought that 3 will only pay 1 referral bonus. Though I could be wrong on that.

Dude131, do you work for 3?
Alternatively, do you know for certain, maybe from experience?

          • @SomeGuyOnOzB: I actually work for Telstra but the comments I made regarding collecting the moneyback bonus and the referral code are based on my experience when I signed up with 3 last year.

      • Sorry not sure on that one, however i would doubt it if you go through the call centre.

  • If I am an existing customer, can I refer myself and get $25 x 2? :p

If you would like a referrall then please PM me!

  • Is 3 referral work on broadband or just mobile?
