  • These look really impressive when finished, but I've heard they are really difficult to put together (and not in a fun way).

Has anyone who bought them in the past got any feedback to share?

    • bit fiddly, partner broke one of the 'hinge flap' things.. and then gave up lol!

I bought a couple first to see how I like it and absolutely love them so bought a dozen more! Yes they arent easy but if you have a set of pliers you should be able to put it together looking pretty good. Some are definitely easier than others.

Iron man is probably the coolest one but by far the most difficult ive done. Spent time here and there completing it over the last couple of weeks probably an 8-10hour project doing it all at once.

Eifell tower is very easy can put that together in 15 mins. Great one to start on.

Capitol building was a little more difficult but if you bend the pieces correctly and take your time its not super difficult. Took about 3-4 hours.

As for price cant beat a couple of dollars. Seen the original metal earth ones in stores anywhere from $15-45. Havent tried a metal earth one so cant comment on quality but the aliexpress the final design looks great but perhaps the metal is a little thinner than it should be which makes construction more difficult.

It is $4.34 for shipping so that makes it $5.70 delivered

  • No free shipping? Seems to be $3.16 each?
    Edit: fixed now.

  • I am getting a $4.34 shipping cost though, is that showing up for anyone else?

edit : oops didnt refresh the page

Sorry for the confusion: I have since added a new link in the post details ($2.24delivered) as this seller has very recently included a postage cost that wasn't there a few days ago! Cheers.

      • Thanks for finding some other sellers. Bit worried that the free postage option won’t get here before Christmas though (says 23-47 days, it’ll be tight!) Guess you get what you pay for

        • i usually give a 2 month time frame for aliexpress orders, like hey sometimes its a bit late but im paying 1/3-1/10th of the price than i'd get it here, what do i expect haha

  • hmmm apparently all from this store are not so popular ones.. i cant find any thing interesting, except eiffel (but it is cheaper on the other link).

They have dozens of new models from Star Wars, Star Trek, Mass Effect, Halo, Transformers etc.

    • Great selection and variety from a high rated seller, and a fraction cheaper too for some models! Good post! +1

  • Judging by the shipping time im thinking I won't have it by Christmas?

    • Estimated Delivery Time: 23-47 days, so wouldn't be hopeful of it arriving until early/mid Jan. If you buy in bulk though, sellers may offer EMS shipping which is ~14 days.

Nice find! I've been eyeing these locally, but thought they are way too expensive at $20 each in the toy store. Got a bit too excited now and ordered about 12 I think. Many thanks to OP and others who posted good store links.

  • Do these come with instructions? I'll seen some youtube reviews that they do. Or do we read literally that 'puzzle' means no?

    • They'll come with basic Chinglish instructions which should suffice; heck, it's 1/2 the fun working out what the instructions are saying!
BYO Bandaids, wear gloves and have decent pliers.
