Which 2017 Diary Are You Getting?

Which 2017 Diary are you getting and what do you do with your days?

I've always gotten the Kikki K Sweet one (student). Not sure which one to buy for next year as I haven't got work/study plans yet, hoping to study PT, and work within my industry which isn't hiring.

I know most major Unis would hand these out for free, typically from Orientation or Festivals and the whatnot.
Or buy one from the $2 shops.

I mean, we are on OzBargain, right?

      OzBargainers buy their 2017 calendar in December 2017 when it's a 90% saving ;)

      • What about the 50% financial year ones? Goes till mid year 2017.

    • Yes I usually just buy the cheapest one I can find in the news agency, however that was like 20 years ago when I was at uni. Don't people just record everything on their smartphone these days? I haven't bought a diary since I got a Palm Pilot…

      • No. I prefer writing it down. Plus my handwriting is impeccable 😁

      • Don't people just record everything on their smartphone these days?

Nope, I still use a diary even with my atrocious hand-writing.

Moleskine Large Weekly Notebook. This year I have a Snoopy one. Haven't used anything else other than Moleskine for my diary since 2009. Write down when I'm working, when bills are due, when I'm catching up with my friends, when movies/books are released, etc.

    • Do you draw up tables or are all those lists/pages provided?

      • They're provided. One side is the week at a glance and the other side is a blank ruled page to jot notes down. Very nifty!

  • Just the cheapest week to view thing I can find on staples like this , work pays for it. I write all the things I want to get through that day on the left and any appointments and meetings on the right for each day. Obviously I have outlook which does appointments and reminders too, but having it there on paper is just easier to refer to especially if I have a dozen spreadsheets open across all my screens

  • Same as last year, the year before, and the previous 10 or so years: Microsoft Exchange.

  • Ditto for moleskine, just the smaller size.

  • I had a fancy 2016 Kikki K diary but I abandoned it when I discovered bullet journaling (lots of examples). For 2016 I just used a cheapie $5 lined notebook from Kmart, but I'm going to get a Leuchtturm1917 notebook for 2017 (the dots are way better than lines).

The biggest benefit of bullet journalling (especially for your situation) is that it is endlessly versatile. You can use some pages to keep track of study/assignments, some to keep track of jobs/applications, some for home life, some for .. whatever!
The second benefit is that it can be fun and arty, I tried to get into the colouring book trend but it just wasn't for me, but decorating my bullet journal is perfect!

    • I did give that a shot but felt a bit overwhelmed!

  • Moleskine diary and a sasco enviro wall planner.
