How do YOU use OzBargain? What are your daily habits?

I've been using Ozbargain for over 4 years now.

I always wondered how everyone views the site. What's your favorite landing Page so that you stay on top of the deals.

I prefer to go to the deals landing page to see anything current and then flick over to the main page to see trending posts, reminders & popular forum topics

  • I'm not sure I really understand the question. I ticked other. I keep up using email subscriptions. I suscribe to the categories and stores I am interested in and check the links I receive in emails. I end up with lots of emails for deals I don't want so I just delete these. I'm interested in some forum topics so I keep track of these using the morning daily newsletter. When I'm checking forums during the day I look at the new forum topic secion on the side of the page. I subscribe to a forum topic if I am interested and get emails if there are updates to the thread.

    • Thanks @Pointscrazy

Was basically checking how everyone uses the site, do you go to https://www.ozbargain.com.au or do you have https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals as your preferred
      pages etc?

      • I have to confess I rarely go to the home page or the new deals page. The front page rarely carries deals I'm interested in and if it does, I've been notified by email about them already.

The only time I look at the home page or new deals is after I've posted a deal and I want to check it's progress and what other deals are competing for attention at the time.

I won some batteries once in one of the treasure hunts by refreshing the screen repeatedly on the home page and new deals page but apart from that I don't refresh very often.

What, you don't use https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/easy-auto-refresh/… and set it to auto refresh the homepage every 5 minutes??

Thanks, just installed that extension, will see how it goes.

        • The good thing about this particular extension is that, even if you navigate away to an inner page or close the tab when you go back to the page where set auto refresh on, it remembers that and enables it.

        Work computer, no extensions ;)

  • Promise my self only 5 minutes, then refresh the deals page for hours. When I get off I check the forums and comps, but then it is time to check the deals page again. Repeat

  • Mainly for the deals and forums.

  • Main page several times a day for any short lived things blowing up.
Deals page to see any under the radar posts whenever I have time.
Forums once a day or so.
Comps once a month or so.
