New PC - Gaming and Video Editing

Hi Guys,

I have been wanting a new PC for a year now and is really tempted by the 1080 card.

The PC is going to be used mainly for photo/video editing, Illustrator and of course some Gaming!

Just wondering, is this an overkill or there is better way to spend my money?

I have now assembled my own machine for years, hence I was opting to buy from a shop, so any good recommendation near Parramatta would be good!

Appreciate all your feedback!

  • You can try ARC, they have a store near the middle of the Parramatta CBD

Prices are quite similar to MSY as well.

Are you getting the system pre-built or did you want to assemble it yourself?

    • I was thinking of just getting that X99 built by MSY, but just wanted to know everyone's thoughts on that system.

  • For what you get that's not a bad price. See PartPicker - https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/qdnpzM

So essentially, you are paying $300 for someone to source and assemble your PC. Something to consider when building something worth 3k in parts.

  • Something that might be worth taking note of is that SSD seems to be an weaker model, which has some bad reviews (not too sure how accurate they are), just something worth considering for that price.

I think this website might be a reliable source, but there could be others that you would prefer to check up on http://www.pcworld.com/article/3000913/storage/crucial-bx200….
