I think at that price, QC25 might make better sense. MDR-1000x seems slightly better than QC35 though.

    • +2

      QC25 isn't wireless.

  • Currently $239 (for Sony X members) with free shipping http://store.sony.com.au/MDR100ABNB.html#sz=24&start=25

    • How can i be a member ? So want fo buy this at 239 ヽ(`Д´)ノ

  • whats the difference between this and MDR1000x apart from the price?

    • +2

This is more a wireless headphone for music first, with a light noise cancelling in case you want it. Where as the 1000x is a more serious plane trip noise cancelling headphone.

      • so you mean the anc of this headphone is not as good as 1000x?

        • Yes 1000x has 4 microphones that can measure the distance between your ears and the speaker just to do anc.

        • @plmko: Thank you so much. I already have qc35 (and qc25 and qc20). probably this headphone is not needed.

  • Is this the brand new model from Sony that's supposed to go up against the QC35s?

    • +2

Nope, this model is missing a 0

Just a comment - I just got back from my first OS trip to China and back with my new MDR1000x

I had QC20i's before these - Light years ahead, I even tried a friends QC35s, much prefer the MDR1000x's
