  • Is this similar to the Aero Press?

    • Aeropress is used for forcing water through the coffee with pressure achieving more of an espresso shot (without the same crema) also a great way for making coffee especially if you are travelling. (Love my Aeropress)

Brewover is used to make cold drip coffee, cold brew coffee and hot filter/pour over coffee(mainly all drunk black however cold brew is great with milk and sugar for a fresh ice coffee.

Brewover can also be used for tea and various other methods like steep and dump or putting fruit in the drip basket etc. Quite versatile :)

      Hope this helps

      • how many paper filters do you get?

can you combine this with more beans? im assuming the beans we usually get with your deals are only good for espresso and not cold/pourover?

        • 10 of each filter in the box but we also sell filters on the website :) We will give you a free 250g of lighter roasted coffee specialty coffee suitable for brewing cold drip and pour over with the Brewover.

Yes the coffee deals are generally more suited to milk and espresso but would still perform really well for cold brew(immersion method to add milk and sugar :)

        • @mannabeans: sorry i meant can i buy more beans with it as a larger package

        • @furythree: You are more than welcome to order additional through the website but the coffee gets shipped separately from Brewover anyway due to the postage dynamic. There's no room inside the Brewover box to include extra coffee and not as safe or practical to strap to outside of box which would increase the cubic weight and cost of package anyway.

Sorry but can't bundle deal to save postage I'm afraid

        • @mannabeans: no problems!

When are you running a coffee deal next? i need some new beans anyway, ill check with you again next time for some non espresso beans. The variety before the latest deal was some of the nicest coffees ive had in a while!

This will be awesome for cold drip this coming summer (an original kickstarter backer here!)

    • Also a kickstarter backer. We use this constantly through summer to make delicious cold drip—normally out of the great ozbargain manna beans!

I had a small issue with mine at the start of summer this year, and had fantastic customer service from the team. My understanding is also the current batch have been slightly modified and improved from the first kickstarter run.

Would be a great Christmas gift for a coffee lover.

I have one of these and it's great. The cold drip is delicious, a perfect summer drink.

  • What's the capacity of the glass jug?

I'm assuming that you can replace the glass jug with something bigger if your brewing more? Also what are you using for filter papers?

    • +1

The glass jug is about a litre. You'll actually be limited by the funnel above which holds ~750ml

  • Looks cool and all, but couldn't you do the same thing with a coffee filter, a funnel and a cup costing the grand sum of <$5?

    • I don't think you understand how cold drip works…
You would also need a decent dripper to plug into the end of the funnel and a basket for the grounds to sit in above the jar while the water drips through them.

Yes, you can probably make a DIY cold dripper for cheaper (some people have done this with aeropresses), yes you can make a pourover brewer cheaper, and immersion brew is very easy to DIY, but this does them all and also looks pretty good.

      • Right, sorta forgot the drip part. Anyways, I'm clearly not the target audience.

        • Yeah, if you're not interested in cold drip, this is not the product for you, there are probably better cheaper alternatives out there for pourover specific brewing.

  • Hi

Do you reduce shipping if two or more are ordered…also if I order extra beans from you?

    • and further to that…which of your coffee would you recommend for grinding at home for a standard Breville espresso machine??

      Thanks

    • Hi, unfortunately combine shipping won't be any cheaper as it's quite large and Australia Post calculated by volume. We do have a coffee deal running at the moment on Ozbargains which is $59.95 for 2 x 980g delivered which are both suitable for a home Breville espresso :-)

Cold drip would benefit from a lighter roast perhaps something interesting like an Ethiopian. We can roast to order and desired profile/brewing method for all standard coffee website sales :)

Love my Brewover. I'm another Kickstarter backer and the cold drip it produces is fantastic. A great gift for a coffee lover.

  • Yep have one. Recommended. Pity the immersion basket didn't make it into the package. That would add another functionality to this little cute device.

  • Any offers if buying two? Combining shipping perhaps (getting charged twice).

Edit: Just read the above reply! all good

  • Am I missing something here? It says it's a 3 in 1 device but the video suggests it does pourover and cold drip. Where's the 3rd (cold immersion) function?

    • You can do an immersion in top funnel with pour over filter overnight in fridge and then place on jug and release valve to filter through leaving cold brew(more concentrated syrup) add milk and sugar for cold brew iced coffee.

You can also use the steep and dump method(good for tea also) Valve closed and steep in top funnel with hot water for 3-4 mins then release vale and dump through.

You can put fruit in the cold drip basket, it's pretty versatile. There are actually more than 3 ways to use it :)
