Can I Use Both Optus and Telstra SIMs in a Dual Sim Phone? ....and which phone to get?

Can I use sims from two carriers (e.g. Optus and Telstra) in a dual sim phone?

And any deals going at the moment for a dual sim phone?

Thanks!

Yes but you have to be aware that Telstra has shut down its 2G network and the other two will follow next year. Many of the dual SIM phones on the market can only do 3/4G on one slot, leaving 2G for the other.
So if you use Optus for data on 3/4G, you will have no service on the Telstra SIM. You have to get a dual SIM phone that can do 3/4G on both slots.

    See list here: https://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/dual_sim_4g3g_phones

I'm using a Xperia X Performance (F8132) to do this, and it works well. Not a cheap option, though. Moto G4 (Plus) mgiht be the way to go if you're looking for cheap.

I would recommend Moto G4 Plus dual sim (4G and 3G). There are many deals in past. There will be deals in future. just wait for it.
