    • Same as used to be $199 - bullshit.

  • Dunno why I paid for it… but I hope it teaches more than the vba courses for free on Udemy

  • If price > 0 Then Do : Loop

    • DO OR NOT DO there is no TRY.

      If price > 0
      blnSubscribe = False
      Load Udemy
      Exit sub
      End If

      • So how does this compare to these Udemy courses (which are often promoted for $0 but coincidentally have the same $199 standard price).

        • +1

          Hey I really am curious from the summary can you determine whether the courses are similar, I don't want to spend $9 if I don't have to or if the Udemy course is extremely similar. Both have roughly the same amount of lectures and same RRP! As someone who is not across VBA functions I would appreciate the comparison.

          @juzz0:
          They are both presented by VBA Finance and are essentially the same. It seems the only real differences are a couple of missing quizzes on Udemy in Section 5 - Learn to link Your Excel Data to a Database, and the order of the Sections / Modules vary slightly:
          Udemy
          * 1. Intro
          * 2. Black and Scholes Model
          * 3. Bond Pricer
          * 4. Manipulate Data
          * 5. Link to Database
          vba-finance.com
          * 1. Fundamentals
          * 2. Bond Pricer
          * 3. Link to Database
          * 4. Manipulate Data
          * 5. Black and Scholes

      Everyone starts at vice president if you have a bachelor degree and are not a new grad, ie vice president means not much at all

      • Oh i see, thanks for the info. So 7 years being a VP, I guess that's impressive or not?

        • +1

          no but opportunities to get promotions in these companies often depends on how many drinking nights you join your boss on and how brown your nose is (I used to work in investment banks)

        • @womble: I can handle the drinking, but I won't get far as I can't brown nose (or refuse to).

      • I could not agree more.

  • if you really want to stand out, you're better learning SQL and Python. Scripting your data actions and being able to work with large data sets has been a boon to me as an accountant

    • +1

      Sure. Fund managers and bankers don't do SQL and Python. Excel and VBA is about as much as they can handle
